Bean Creole Recipe


Bean Creole Recipe

 Recipe Ingredients: 

  • 1 large Onion - chopped 
  • 1 Garlic Clove - crushed
  • 2 Green Bell Peppers - diced
  • 3 Celery Stalks - sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1 can Tomatoes
  • 1 can Tomato Paste
  • 1 pinch Basil
  • 1 pinch Rosemary
  • 1/2 cup  Breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups Cooked Beans - your choice
  • Cooking Oil
  • Water

Instructions:

  • Saute onions and garlic lightly in oil. 
  • Add pepper and celery.
  • Fry for several minutes until tender.
  • Stir in the flour and add tomatoes.
  • Add tomato paste, herbs and beans.
  • Mix in breadcrumbs.
  • Add a little water if too dry.
  • Spoon into oiled casserole & sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
  • Bake for 30 minutes at 350F.
  • Serve with rice and salsa sauce.
