Herbed Brown Rice Recipe

 Heart Healthy Recipe Ingredients: 

  • 1 1/2 cups Long-Grain Brown Rice
  • 1/2 pound Mushrooms - sliced
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 2 teaspoons fresh Thyme - minced
  • 3 medium Green Onions - sliced


Food Preparation Instructions:

  • Combine brown rice, mushrooms, chicken broth, water and bay leaves in a
    medium size baking dish.   
  • Cover and bake for 1hour 10 minutes at 350 degree oven. 
  • Remove from the oven and discard bay leaves. 
  • Stir in the fresh thyme. 
  • Top with sliced green onions.
