Low Fat Pancakes Recipe

(Whole Wheat Pancakes)

Low Fat Pancakes Recipe
 

 Heart Healthy Recipe Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup Rye Flour or another cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Ener-G gluten-free Egg Replacer
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Turbinado Sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup Mashed Banana or Applesauce
  • pinch Cinnamon or Nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup undercooked 7-Grain Cereal (optional)
  • Rice Milk  

 

Instructions:

  • Mix dry ingredients.
  • Add mashed banana or applesauce.
  • Add enough rice milk to make it pancake-batter like.
  • Fry (carefully) in a nonstick or Pam-sprayed pan. 
  • Add cinnamon or nutmeg and/or undercooked 7-grain cereal if you find them too bland as they  are.
