Thanksgiving Butternut Squash Gravy Recipe

Heart Healthy Recipe Ingredients: 
  • 1 cup Butternut Squash - peeled & diced
  • 3/4 cup Vegetarian Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 2 tablespoons White Wine
  • 2 tablespoons Corn Starch
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
Recipe Instructions:
  • Combine squash, broth, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, honey or syrup in a sauce pan and simmer until squash is cooked (approximately 15 minutes). 
  • Combine cornstarch and wine and add to squash mixture-simmer 5 minutes.
  • Remove cinnamon stick and bay leaf, add salt and pepper and puree.


 Vegetarian Thanksgiving Gravy - yields one cup
